busy

Busy perfectly describes this girl, as well as the current state of our lives.  What a week.  Sorry I've been spotty here at best.  

There is no baking in our house without a helper, which is perfectly fine with me.  Last night we were making corn muffins to go with the chili on the stove, and I let her do most of the work except for the scooping for two reasons.  First, I was ready to get the pan in the oven, and I'm much quicker at doling out 24 scoops of batter than she is.  And second, I'm much neater.  I turned to check on the chili and when I turned back she had her own spoon in hand and the scooping well under control.

They were delicious.
